The build

How it came together.

This C6 came in for a tune. It did not stay a tune. Over time it became a nitrous car, then a cammed car, then a blower car, then a fully built engine with a fuel system to match — each step taken only once the last one was sorted.

The part that gets skipped elsewhere is the drivetrain. Power is the easy half; making the rest of the car survive it is the half that decides whether you own a fast car or a broken one. The driveline was built up alongside the power the entire way.

The finished car makes over 800 horsepower and is still a street car — reliable enough to drive rather than trailer. Holding that combination together is almost entirely a calibration problem, and it is the clearest demonstration of what a tune is actually for.

The same owner later brought us a second Corvette, built strictly as a race car.

In the owner's words

I brought him my 05 C6 corvette for a tune. That then snowballed into adding a nitrous kit, cam swap, then a blower kit, built engine and fuel system. All along building the drivetrain to handle the increased power. Erin takes his time and does it right the first time. I'm very pleased to have a car that makes 800HP+ that is still streetable and reliable. His tuning abilities really show when you can still street a car with that much power.
