Automotive machine shop.
A performance engine is only as good as the machine work under it. We run our machine shop in-house — CNC head porting, block work, and rotating-assembly balancing — so the tolerances that decide whether a build lives or grenades are ours, measured and recorded, not outsourced and hoped for.
What we machine.
CNC cylinder head porting
Flow-bench documented porting for LS/LT, HEMI, Coyote, and Viper heads. See platform flow numbers on the porting pages.
Block work
Boring, honing with torque plates, decking, and align/line work — the foundation every serious build stands on.
Rotating-assembly balancing
Cranks, rods, and pistons balanced as an assembly so the engine spins clean and lives at rpm.
Valve jobs & head service
Fresh valves, seats, guides, and machine work while the heads are apart — stainless and Inconel valve options available.
The tolerances decide everything.
Bore and hone without torque plates, skip the align check, balance by eye — and the dyno sheet lies while the engine quietly kills itself. We machine to measured spec and hand you the numbers, because on a build making real power the clearances aren't a detail, they're the whole game. It's the same standard behind our engine builds: everything under one roof, one person accountable.
The most-requested job here is CNC cylinder head porting — LS/LT, HEMI, Coyote, and Viper, flow-benched and documented, and available by mail-in nationwide. Whether it's a full build or just heads on your bench, it leaves with its paperwork: specs, clearances, and the flow sheet.
Common questions.
What machine work do you do in-house?
CNC cylinder head porting, block work (boring, torque-plate honing, decking, align/line work), rotating-assembly balancing, and valve/head service. The machine work that decides whether a performance build survives.
Do you bore and hone blocks?
Yes — including torque-plate honing, which simulates the stress of a torqued head so the cylinders are round when the engine is actually assembled. It is the difference between a build that seals and one that blows by.
Can you balance my rotating assembly?
Yes — crank, rods, and pistons balanced as a matched assembly. A properly balanced assembly spins cleaner, vibrates less, and lives far longer at high rpm.
Can I just get my heads machined, or do you need the whole engine?
Either — head porting and valve work are standalone services, and heads can be shipped in from anywhere. Full builds get the complete machine-shop treatment. Your call and your budget.
Do you document the machine work?
Every time — you get the specs, clearances, and (for ported heads) the measured flow sheet. That paperwork is worth real money if you ever sell the car, and it is your baseline forever if you race it.
Can you machine platforms beyond LS, HEMI, Coyote, and Viper?
Those are our documented porting lines, but block and balance work spans most platforms, and one-off jobs are quoted case by case. If it is serious, call and we will talk it through.
