Mercedes-AMG C63 tune. Nashville.
The M177 4.0 twin-turbo V8 in the C63 / C63 S is one of the most aggressively tune-responsive AMG platforms ever produced. Stage 1 alone picks up 130+ wheel hp on stock fuel system + 93 octane. The platform is conservatively tuned from the factory.
Every Carma tune includes.
Real prices, no dyno-number runaround. Here's what comes with every flash — at no extra charge.
What we do for the c63.
Stage 1 unlocks boost, timing, and fueling across the M177's broad envelope. The platform is shared with the C63, E63, GT, AMG GT, GT-R, and others — we've mapped the family extensively. Stage 2 with downpipes + intake + IC + flex fuel territory pushes well past 700 wheel hp.
The M177's hot-vee layout — turbos inside the V — is why this engine responds so violently to calibration: short charge paths, fast spool, and factory boost targets set low for emissions and drivetrain-warranty margins. Our maps raise those targets with IAT-referenced spark so a Tennessee summer doesn't turn your Stage 1 into a heat-soak lottery. The MCT and 9-speed both get calibration attention so the gearbox delivers the new torque instead of slurring it.

Mods we pair with this tune.
The C63 aftermarket is mature. These are the pieces we most often pair with the flash:
- Downpipes — the single biggest restriction on the M177 — big mid-range gains with the matching map.
- Heat exchanger / charge cooling — hot-vee packaging traps heat; better cooling keeps pull #5 honest.
- Transmission calibration — firmer clamp and faster shifts for MCT / 9G — tuned with the engine, not after it.
- Methanol injection — the cheap route to consistent intake temps on back-to-back pulls.
- E85 blend fueling — moderate blends sharpen spark response; scoped against the stock fuel system.
No dyno-number games, no hard sell. Drive it, and if the tune isn't for you, we revert to stock at no charge. That's how confident we are in the map.
Common questions.
Will Mercedes detect the C63 tune?
Some AMG ECUs log overboost events. We offer free stock-revert before any planned dealer visit.
C63 vs C63 S — different tune?
Same engine, different power maps. The S has a higher boost ceiling from the factory. We tune each as its own platform.
Will the 9-speed handle more power?
AMG Speedshift MCT handles Stage 1 and Stage 2 power. Built-engine + 800+ wheel hp territory may need transmission attention.
How long does the appointment take?
Stage 1: 2–3 hours. Stage 2 with mods to install: full day.
Can I run E85 in my C63?
Blends, yes — around E30 on the stock fuel system with real spark gains. Full E85 needs fuel-system work and moves you into scoped Stage 2+ territory. The flex conversation is worth having if you want the car at its ceiling.
Does the hot-vee layout cause heat problems?
It runs hot by design — turbos live inside the V. That is exactly why our maps reference intake temps for spark instead of running a static table: the car protects itself in traffic and wakes up when airflow returns.
What about the new 2024+ C63 (the four-cylinder hybrid)?
Different animal entirely — that car runs a 2.0 hybrid drivetrain, not the M177 V8. This page covers the V8 cars (W205 generation). If you have the new hybrid, call us — that platform is still maturing industry-wide.
