Audi S4 / S5 tune. Nashville.
The 3.0 TFSI (supercharged B8 generation, turbo B9 generation) in the S4 and S5 is a well-trodden tuning path. Stage 1 alone picks up 60–80 wheel hp on stock fuel system + 93 octane. Stage 2 with intercooler + pulley (B8) or downpipe (B9) pushes well past 500.

What we do for the s4 / s5.
Stage 1 maps the platform aggressively but safely on 93 octane. The supercharged B8 platform wants smaller pulley + heat exchanger; the turbo B9 wants downpipe + intercooler. We've mapped both for years across all variants — S4, S5 Coupe, S5 Sportback, RS5 included.
One badge, two very different engines: the B8 generation runs a supercharged 3.0 TFSI, the B9 a single twin-scroll turbo EA839 — and the tune strategy flips accordingly. The B8 wants pulley-and-cooling math like a blower car; the B9 wants boost, timing, and a downpipe like a turbo car. We calibrate both, and the transmission (DSG or ZF8 depending on year) gets matched to the result.

Mods we pair with this tune.
The right mods depend on which generation you drive — here's both paths:
- B9: catted downpipe — the turbo car’s biggest single unlock, mapped alongside Stage 2.
- B8: crank pulley + cooling — classic supercharger math — spin it faster, cool the charge.
- Intercooler / heat exchanger — both generations soak stock; this is the consistency mod.
- Transmission calibration — DSG or ZF8 — clamp and shift speed scaled with the torque.
- E85 blends — both engines respond; fueling limits scoped per generation.
No dyno-number games, no hard sell. Drive it, and if the tune isn't for you, we revert to stock at no charge. That's how confident we are in the map.
Common questions.
B8 vs B9 — which is more tunable?
Both respond well. B8 supercharged unlocks easy power with smaller pulley + tune. B9 turbo needs downpipe + IC for real Stage 2 returns.
Will the DSG transmission hold up?
Yes for Stage 1 and Stage 2 power. Beyond Stage 2 we recommend TCM tune in addition.
Do I need a pulley for the B8 S4?
Stock pulley + Stage 1 picks up 60–80 wheel hp. Smaller pulley is the next step — adds another 40–50 wheel hp with supporting mods.
How long does the appointment take?
Stage 1: 2–3 hours. Stage 2 with mods to install: full day.
Is the S5 the same tune as the S4?
Same drivetrain per generation — the S5 (coupe/Sportback) follows the identical path as its S4 sibling. Cabin count is the only real difference.
What order should I do supporting mods?
Cooling first on both generations — intercooler (B9) or heat exchanger (B8) — then downpipe or pulley respectively. The tune is re-flashed free as you add hardware.
Can I run E85 blends?
Yes on both, with different ceilings — the B9’s direct injection takes moderate blends on stock fueling; the B8’s appetite is scoped per build. Either way we map to the fuel you can actually buy in Nashville.
