What we do for the hellcat.
Stage 1 includes the PCM unlock, custom map, flashed same-day. We tighten throttle, optimize spark across boost zones, and unlock the supercharger's safe envelope. Pulley + bolt-ons + flex-fuel + methanol territory is scoped per build.
The Charger runs the 8HP90 ZF automatic exclusively — no manual — and it's the right gearbox for four-door duty: it takes an 800+ wheel-torque hit better than any clutch and stays livable in traffic. Widebody and Redeye share the calibration path; the Redeye's larger 2.7L blower changes the map, not the process. Same playbook as the Challenger Hellcat, wrapped around a family car. Every Charger leaves with cooldown logic and IAT-referenced spark protection dialed for Tennessee summers.

The Hellcat aftermarket runs deep. These are the bolt-ons we most often pair with a Charger Hellcat flash — each one changes the map, and re-flashes are free when you add them.
- Upper pulley (2.85" / 2.80") — the best dollar-per-horsepower mod on the platform; needs injectors and a proper map to run safely.
- ID1050x injectors + fuel — headroom for the pulley and E85 blends — the stock fuel system taps out around 800 wheel.
- Flex-fuel kit — pump 93 or E85 on one map; the PCM blends spark and fuel live off ethanol content.
- 180° thermostat + catch can — keeps IAT2 down and the intake tract clean under boost. Cheap insurance.
- Long-tube headers — the biggest gain on the exhaust side — we re-map spark to actually use them.

Does the Charger Hellcat tune differ from the Challenger Hellcat?
Same engine, same PCM. Calibration is identical platform-to-platform. The Charger gets the same tune as the Challenger of the same year + variant.
PCM unlock — what does it actually do?
Hellcats ship with a write-locked PCM. We unlock it (one-time, persists for the life of the vehicle) so we can flash custom maps. After unlock, the PCM behaves like any other tunable Dodge ECU.
Will I need a fuel system upgrade?
Stock fuel system is good to ~800 wheel hp on 93. Past that, port-injection or a meth kit is the next step. We spec the path on the call.
How long does the appointment take?
Stage 1 with PCM unlock: 3 hours. Stage 2 with pulley install: full day.
Is the 8HP90 transmission safe at 800+ wheel?
Yes — the ZF 8HP90 is one of the most overbuilt automatics in any production car. We firm shift pressure under WOT and add a trans-temp safeguard in the map. Past roughly 950 wheel we start the converter and driveline conversation.
Does the Redeye need a different tune than a standard Hellcat?
Same PCM, different blower and fuel tables. The Redeye’s 2.7L IHI supercharger and higher power ceiling mean its map is built separately — you never run a standard Hellcat map on a Redeye. We calibrate per variant.
Is E85 practical to daily-drive in Nashville?
With a flex-fuel kit, yes — several stations around Nashville carry E85, and the sensor blends the map automatically, so a tank of 93 on a road trip is a non-issue. Straight-E85-only maps we reserve for dedicated builds.
