The R35 GT-R isn't a Stage 1 / Stage 2 platform — it's a project car. We custom-tune every R35 from the customer's specific turbo + fuel + supporting mod combination. The ecosystem is mature: 1000+ wheel hp builds are common, 2000+ wheel hp builds exist.
Two computers run an R35 — the ECM and the TCM — and half the car's performance lives in the transmission calibration: clutch clamp pressure, launch logic, shift speed. We tune both, always. On the engine side, the VR38's closed-loop boost control rewards careful mapping — the difference between a reliable 700 and a grenade 700 is the tuner's discipline, not the parts list.

- Dual fuel pumps + injectors — the stock fuel system is the wall; upgrading it unlocks E85 and real boost.

Common questions.
What's the realistic power ceiling on stock turbos?
Stock turbos are good to ~650 wheel hp. Past that, upgraded turbos are the path.
Do I need a built motor for 800+?
Yes — stock R35 engine internals are not rated for sustained 800+ wheel hp. We work with our build partner on the engine spec.
Is the DCT good for big power?
Stock DCT is good to about 1000 wheel hp with TCM tune. Past that, upgraded clutches are the path.
How long does the GT-R appointment take?
Full day minimum. Multi-day for built-motor / big-turbo builds. We scope every R35 individually.
Why does the TCM tune matter so much?
Because the GR6 gearbox decides how much of the engine’s torque actually reaches the ground. Raising power without raising clutch clamp pressure just slips — and burns — the clutches. Every R35 engine tune we do ships with the TCM matched to it.
What’s the stock fuel system’s limit?
Roughly stock-turbo power on pump gas. E85 or bigger turbos exceed it immediately — which is why fuel is the first real money on any R35 build plan.
Do you tune on your dyno or off mail-order datalogs?
Our dyno, and you’re welcome to watch. R35s are project cars — we map against your exact turbo, fuel, and mod combination in-house, not a base map with your VIN typed on it.
